DESCRIPTION:Celebrating the life and legacy of Chicano sculptor Luis Jimén
 ez (American\, 1940–2006)\, known for bold\, larger-than-life sculptures
  that fuse vivid color\, dynamic form and incisive social commentary. The 
 exhibition features a selection of sculptures and lithographs centered on 
 Border Crossing\, a monumental sculpture in University Museums' Art on Cam
 pus Collection. Maquettes and lithographs offer a rare glimpse into Jimén
 ez's creative process\, tracing his transformation of concept to finished 
 form.
