Bio

Adrienne Gennett specializes in the history of glass and decorative arts in  general, with extensive knowledge of European ceramic and glass production, modern and contemporary American glass, and contemporary craft. As the Curator of the Brunnier Art Museum she develops exhibitions, conducts research on the permanent collection of over 30,000 objects and new acquisitions and develops educational programming connecting design and the decorative arts to contemporary audiences. 

Previous positions include with the Corning Museum of Glass and in the American Art Department at the Philadelphia Art Museum, formerly the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She also taught the history of modern design at the collegiate level, focusing on the history of objects to tell stories of power, world change, and cultural connection. 

Gennett is available for interviews, speaking engagements, and panel discussion on topics including the history of the decorative arts, ancient to contemporary glass, American studio glass and ceramics, and visual literacy.
