Bio

Carly McCoy is one of the education specialists within University Museums. She handles all tour requests and scheduling for ISU curriculum and other affiliate and outside groups. She develops and implements new and recurring educational programming for students, staff, faculty, families, and youth, primarily for the Brunnier Art Museum. She helps facilitate the learning and scheduling of University Museums’ group of volunteer docents.

McCoy’s professional experience includes museums, galleries, and professional installation work. She has served the Des Moines Art Center as a K-12 art instructor and docent. Before joining Iowa State, McCoy coordinated the counseling office of an 8th-9th grade middle school. She has experience as a managing editor and writer, and as a freelance copywriter and editor. 

McCoy is available for interviews, speaking engagements, and panel discussions on topics related to University Museums events and programming, tours, curriculum engagement, and visual literacy.
