Bio

Nicky Christensen manages marketing and communications for University Museums at Iowa State University, a five-entity system including the Brunnier Art Museum, Christian Petersen Art Museum, Farm House Museum, Anderson Sculpture Garden, and Art on Campus, a collection of thousands of works installed across the ISU campus.

Her work includes brand strategy, digital and print campaigns, email marketing, web content, and audience development. She joined University Museums in August 2025 and brings experience from roles in communications and development, supporting institutional outreach and engagement across diverse platforms and audiences.

Before Iowa State, Christensen spent nearly a decade at the Museum of Danish America in Iowa. She later served at Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University with the Planetary Health Alliance, supporting global communications for a network of more than 480 organizations across 80 countries.

She is admitted to Iowa State’s MS in Architecture program for Fall 2026, where she will conduct research on historic vernacular housing prefabricated in Iowa, further connecting her professional work with academic study and material culture.

Christensen welcomes collaborations with faculty, students, and community partners. She is available for media inquiries and interview requests.
